Manchester City Survive Brighton Scare to Maintain Perfect Record
Manchester City made it six wins from six with a dramatic 3-2 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion, although the defending champions nearly surrendered a commanding early lead.
Khadija Shaw scored twice in the opening stages, with Lauren Hemp providing both assists, before Niamh Charles made it 3-0 inside 17 minutes.
Brighton responded impressively. Olivia Garcia converted a Fran Kirby cutback before Caitlin Hayes headed home to reduce the deficit to one goal before half-time.
City struggled to regain their early intensity but held on to secure all three points. Shaw now leads the WSL Golden Boot race with seven goals, while Hemp tops the assist standings with four.
Andrée Jeglertz’s side remain top with 18 points, preserving their two-point advantage over Chelsea.
Chelsea Overpower Tottenham in Eight-Goal Thriller
Chelsea produced the weekend’s most emphatic result, defeating Tottenham Hotspur 6-2 at Stamford Bridge. Lauren James and Ellie Carpenter both scored twice, while substitutes Sjoeke Nüsken and Maika Hamano also found the net.
Tottenham initially competed well, with Mathilda Vinberg cancelling out James’s opener before half-time. However, Chelsea’s intensity increased dramatically after the interval.
Carpenter restored the lead before James added her second with an outstanding individual effort. Nüsken and Hamano extended Chelsea’s advantage, while Signe Gaupset scored Tottenham’s second before Carpenter completed the scoring.
The result keeps Chelsea firmly in the title race, two points behind Manchester City. For Tottenham, consecutive defeats against London City and Chelsea have exposed significant defensive weaknesses. Martin Ho’s side have conceded 12 goals across those two matches.
London City Strengthen Their Grip on Third Place
London City Lionesses continued their impressive campaign with a 2-1 home victory over Everton. Delphine Cascarino opened the scoring following a clever backheel from Daniëlle van de Donk, before Freya Godfrey doubled the advantage in the first half.
Everton improved after the break, with Hannah Cain reducing the deficit following a cross from Holly McNamara. However, London City protected their lead to secure another important victory.
The result moves London City onto 15 points, just one behind Chelsea and five clear of fourth-placed Tottenham. Their strong start is increasingly establishing them as genuine contenders for European qualification.
Arsenal’s Winless Run Continues Against Birmingham
Arsenal’s disappointing league campaign continued with a 1-1 draw against Birmingham City at Emirates Stadium. Despite dominating possession and registering 27 shots, Renee Slegers’ side struggled to break down Birmingham’s organised defensive structure.
Océane Hurtré punished Arsenal on the counterattack, scoring her sixth league goal of the season with a composed finish over Misa Rodríguez.
Olivia Smith rescued a point with an excellent long-range strike, but Arsenal were unable to find a winner.
The Gunners have now gone five consecutive WSL matches without victory, collecting just six points from their opening six games.
Their inability to turn territorial dominance into goals is becoming a serious concern, particularly with the Champions League qualification places already moving further away.
Manchester United Continue Winning Momentum
Manchester United secured a 3-1 victory away to Charlton Athletic, extending their winning run to five matches across all competitions.
Ella Toone opened the scoring after six minutes, Andrea Medina doubled the advantage shortly afterwards and Julia Zigiotti Olme added a third before half-time.
Leah Davidson briefly brought Charlton back into contention, but United controlled the second half and created further opportunities. Eva Olid’s team are now level on points with fourth-placed Tottenham, while Charlton remain bottom without a point after six matches.
Aston Villa Fight Back as West Ham Claim Important Win
Aston Villa earned their first WSL victory of the season with a 2-1 comeback against Liverpool. Natalia Ramos gave Liverpool the lead with a spectacular long-range effort, but Chasity Grant equalised after the interval. An unfortunate own goal from Liverpool captain Grace Fisk then completed Villa’s turnaround.
It was Brian Sørensen’s first victory as Villa’s interim manager. Elsewhere, West Ham United defeated Crystal Palace 1-0 thanks to Kelly Gago’s first-half goal. The Hammers defended resolutely to secure their first away league win of the campaign.
What Matchweek 6 Means for the WSL Title Race
Manchester City and Chelsea continue to set the pace, with London City Lionesses emerging as the strongest challengers behind the established title contenders.
Tottenham and Manchester United are competing for fourth, while Arsenal face mounting pressure to revive their season.
At the bottom, Charlton remain without a point, Birmingham are still searching for their first victory and Brighton’s encouraging performance against City ultimately brought no reward.
With 20 matchweeks remaining, the season is far from decided, but the early standings are already creating significant pressure at both ends of the table.

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
